A teenager was found to have a claw hammer when police swooped on a suspected drug deal on a river towpath.
Officers patrolling the Lockmeadowarea, in Maidstone, yesterday saw a meeting taking place on the towpath of the River Medway.
They stopped a 19-year-old man from Ealing and a teenager from Maidstone, and on searching them found seven wraps of substances believed to be heroin and cocaine, £120 cash and two mobile phones on the man from London.
Both were arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply and remain in police custody.
