Textile store closes with six jobs lost

The home textile store Rosebys has closed a Kent store with the loss of six jobs.

The company went into administration last month.

Its Maidstone store, in the Mall Chequers, was one of 31 Roseby shops across the country to be closed this week by the company’s joint administrators.

Its distribution centre in Selby, north Yorkshire has also closed.

Howard Smith, joint administrator and KPMG restructuring associate partner, said: “We anticipate further store closures next week, while we continue to have dialogue with a number of parties who are interested in either the whole or parts of the business.”
