Playing to huge crowds and sharing a stage with global superstars is nothing new to The Enemy.

The band have supported the Rolling Stones at the O2 Arena in London, played alongside Paul Weller and made their festival debut at last year's Big Weekend, in Preston.

They will perform on the main stage in Mote Park this year on Sunday.

Drummer Liam Watts said they are relishing the start of a new festival season.

He said: "It's a chance to play to so many different fans.

"You might be playing to someone who wants to see the band after you, and you have just got one chance to try and show what you're worth."

But he admitted the band haven't decided yet whether they'll sample Maidstone's nightlife after their performance.

"We'll see how it looks," he said, diplomatically.
