Take your picnic and union flag to the park

It's time for Proms in the Park.

The annual family entertainment kicks off at 3pm in Whatman Park, Maidstone, with drama performances by the Hazlitt Youth Theatre, live music from Invicta Jazz, children's fun from the Boogie Monsters, a Punch and Judy Show and a craft tent from This Art of Mine.

The classical music starts at 6pm with the Maidstone Wind Symphony.

Youngsters love the Punch and Judy show

Take a picnic.

Entry is £7, children under 16 free.
