Dickens Road in Ringlestone cordoned off while police investigate an alleged assault.

Police have arrested three men and cordoned off a road as part of an investigation into an alleged assault.

Forensics teams descended on Dickens Road in Ringlestone just after noon, while police carried out a search.

A witness said officers could be seen inside a house in nearby Chatham Road.

A pool of blood was also on the road outside, plus a key.

Scene of crime officers were taking pictures and detectives have been making house-to-house inquiries.

The assault happened in the early hours of this morning.

The victim's injuries are not yet known.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and are currently in police custody.
