Tonbridge boss Tommy Warrilow celebrated five years in charge by leading his side into the first round of the FA Trophy on Saturday.

George Purcell, pictured, set Angels on their way to a 2-1 third qualifying round victory over Evo-Stik Southern Premier side Hitchin by firing past visiting keeper Martin Bennett in just the third minute.

Hitchin settled and John Frendo equalised from the penalty spot just before the half-hour after a foul by Ben Judge.

Tonbridge scored what proved to be the winner five minutes later when Chris Piper crashed home following a strong run down the left.

Angels had Judge sent off for a second yellow card seven minutes into the second half, with Louis Lee later seeing red for the visitors.
