Tonbridge Angels boss Tommy Warrilow looking for FA Cup boost

Tonbridge manager Tommy Warrilow said it was frustration rather than anger which forced him to leave the ground before addressing his players after Tuesday’s 3-2 defeat at Carshalton Athletic in the Ryman League, Premier Division.

Angels twice led but had defender Sonny Miles sent-off before conceding two goals in the final six minutes to lose for the fourth time in
six matches.

Warrilow (pictured) said: "I read somewhere that I was supposed to have stormed out but it wasn’t like that. I didn’t want to start going into the lads and say something which I might regret."

Angels take a break from league action tomorrow (Saturday) with a home FA Cup first qualifying round tie against Combined Counties side Guildford City, 5-0 conquerors of Kent League side Sevenoaks in the FA Vase.

Loan striker Adam Burchall is ineligible and there is a doubt over Danny Walder, who remains troubled by a toe injury. Peter Hawkins has left the club amicably for what Warrilow described as ‘non-football’ reasons.
