Tonbridge Angels boss Tommy Warrilow is staying upbeat despite his side’s poor form and insists they are capable of upsetting one of the Blue Square Bet South title-chasers.

Angels face daunting games at fourth-placed Chelmsford on Saturday and leaders Welling on Tuesday, having slipped to 17th place – just four points ahead of second bottom.

Warrilow, pictured, said: "The results all went against us the other night and it showed that in this league anyone can beat anyone.

"But that also shows that we are capable of doing the same against these top teams.

"A couple of wins would catapult us right up the table. There is no reason why we can’t get results at Chelmsford or Welling."

Warrilow will be without the suspended Ollie Schulz and Michael Elphick and was hoping to seal a short-term deal for a defender to cover their absence.
