Manager Tommy Warrilow is desperate for a long run in the FA Trophy to make up for the disappointment of Tonbridge’s early exit in the FA Cup.

Angels lost at home in the cup to Guildford City of the Cherry Red Combined Counties Premier Division, and Warrilow, pictured, is keen to avoid a similar upset when they host Enfield Town in the FA Trophy second qualifying round on Saturday.

Among the early pacesetters in Ryman League Division 1 North, Enfield lost 3-0 at home to Great Wakering Rovers last weekend but Warrilow says he will not be taking them lightly.

He said: "We have had them watched and they’re not a bad side. It’s a game I expect us to win and we want to go as far as we can in the Trophy but you only have to look at Hythe’s win over Staines in the FA Cup to see what can happen."

Meanwhile, Warrilow this week said goodbye to Kirk Watts, who is taking a break from the game, and Sam Jones, who is off to America.
