Six police cars rushed to the M20 this afternoon and stopped a vehicle they believed to be suspicious.

Officers on motorbikes created a rolling roadblock on the London-bound carriageway, between junctions 7 for Maidstone and Detling and 5 for Aylesford, just before 4.30pm so their colleagues could stop the vehicle.

A police spokesman said: "Officers from Kent Police stopped a vehicle, which was believed to be suspicious, on the M20 at 4.28pm on Sunday.
