Motorists suffered congestion after an accident on the M20 forced a lane closure earlier this evening.

It happened on the M20 coastbound between junction three of the M26 and junction four at Leybourne and Snodland at around 6.50pm.

A traffic alert said that cars started to queue on the M26 to junction 2a of the A20.
