Trains between Maidstone West and Strood cancelled due to electricity fault

Commuters were faced with long delays after an electricity failure caused a number of trains to be cancelled.

All services between Maidstone West and Strood Station were suspended earlier today.

Trains have been suspended due to an electricity fault

A driver of one of the trains reported a loss of power when leaving Maidstone Barracks station.

Response staff from Network Rail investigated the fault with the power supply and fixed the problem.

Services are now running normally.
