Ms King said the day out offered something for all ages.

“The reviews reflect the opinions of both adults and children’s experience days,” she said.

The academy offers a wide array of events including school visits and a chance to get educated on the owls looked after there.

Ms King, who set up the academy in 2016, said there were also benefits to spending time with animals.

“I have worked with many people in need of therapy in one way or another, be it those with autism or prisoners looking at rehabilitation.”

In February 2018 she announced the owls would be available for funerals for those wanting to release birds into the sky or just have them on a perch during the service.
