Kent Police called after a van and car collide on Maidstone bound stretch of A249 Detling Hill, between Scragged Oak Lane and Pilgrims way

A busy road has reopened following a two vehicle accident this morning.

Motorists experienced delays following the accident, which involved a van and a car on the A249 Detling Hill this morning.

Kent Police were called to the scene, between Scragged Oak Lane and Pilgrims Way on the Maidstone bound carriageway, at about 8.09am.

The road was fully open by 9.50am.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were also called amid fears a driver could be stuck in their car but it turned out their services were not needed.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service are also at the scene.
