Two people have been taken to hospital with multiple injuries following a car crash in Bearsted this morning.

Fire crews, police and paramedics were called to Caring Lane around just after 3.30am.

The female driver and male passenger - thought to be in their late 20s - had to be cut free from the car.

Both were removed on spinal longboards and handed into the care of the ambulance service.

Firefighters left the scene at about 5.30am.
