Van driver has 'trouser accident' during drink drive arrest near Maidstone

A disqualified drink driver had an unfortunate accident after trying to flee a stolen van.

Kent Police pulled the vehicle over at a petrol station near Maidstone due to a defective back light.

The van was stopped in Maidstone Picture: @KentSpecials

But it transpired it was stolen and the man at the wheel attempted to make a run for it.

But when stopped and arrested he had what the Kent Specials Twitter account referred to as a "trouser accident".

They also included a helpful emoji.

The man then returned an alcohol reading of three times the limit and turned out to be disqualified.
