Live, local and fun - that is what kmfm breakfast DJ Andy Walker brings to his show every morning.

We have been along to see Andy and find out just what he does on his week day 7am to 11am show.

Andy has been in radio for 10 years and says he never wanted to do anything else.

He said: "There's a great buzz in being able to connect directly with your listeners. Whether that is through playing them a new song, a classic, touching on nostalgia or talking about something that relates to all our lives."

He was attracted to kmfm because it continues to be a genuinely local station.

He said: "There is so much networking going on in radio that it is great to be somewhere which is a proper local radio station."
