A WOMAN and a teenager escaped with bruises when they were shot at with an air gun.

Armed police were called after attack on the woman and the 14-year-old boy as they walked in Tonbridge Road, Maidstone, at about 4.30pm on Tuesday .

The road was closed for a short time while police investigated, and had been opened again by 8.30pm.

The victims did not require hospital treatment.
