A woman was cut free from a car this afternoon after a crash in Goudhurst.

The casualty was in the vehicle when it collided with a lorry in Chequers Road, at about 12.50pm.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service removed the car's roof to release the woman. Crews left the scene about an hour later.

The patient's injuries were not thought to be serious but she was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital as a precaution.

The car is yet to be recovered.
