Woman cut from car after crash near Maidstone West train station

A woman has been cut from her car after a crash near Maidstone West train station this afternoon.

The incident on Station Approach just before 4pm also involved a van and a third vehicle, with firefighters having to free the woman, aged in her 40s.

She is currently being assessed by paramedics for potential neck injuries and police have closed the road and put in a diversion down Broadway.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene, transferring the woman into the care of the ambulance service on a long board.

South East Coast Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and a fast response car.
