A woman had to be cut free from a car after a crash with a lorry on the A249 near Maidstone.

Fire crews were called just before 9pm last night to the Maidstone-bound carriageway between Stockbury and Keycol at Danaway.

They used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of the car and release the woman.

She was then passed on to ambulance crews.
