Crash in Larkfield leaves woman needing hospital treatment

A woman was taken to hospital by ambulance earlier today following an accident in Larkfield.

The emergency services were called to the A20 London Road outside Walldonway garage at about 11am.

The woman, was driving a Suzuki Swift, was left stranded in the middle of the road following the collision with a low loader truck.

The road was reduced to one lane, and staff from the garage directed traffic while the woman, who was in her 80s, was seen to by paramedics.

She was then taken by ambulance to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for treatment.

Kent Police also attended the scene, where they took statements from witnesses.

The car was moved off the road to the forecourt of Walldonway.

At the time of writing, no details had been released about the driver's condition.

No other people were injured in the incident.
