A woman was taken to hospital on Monday afternoon after falling down a flight of stairs in a shop in Maidstone town centre.

Two ambulances were called to CEX Exchange, Week Street, at 12.20pm on August 17.

The woman, in her 20s, was treated for back and neck injuries at the scene before being taken to Maidstone Hospital for further checks.

The store remained open during the incident.
