A pensioner and a young girl were treated by ambulance crews after falling over just minutes apart in Maidstone High Street

A young girl was treated by paramedics after falling over just minutes after an elderly woman tripped near the same spot.

South East Coast Ambulance sent a crew to High Street at 11.30am to help a lady in her 70s who had fallen outside The Muggleton Inn and suffered a facial injury.

The control room received another call 10 minutes to the same spot, where a youngster had also tripped and cut her head.

Another car and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

Both patients were taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury.
