Tonbridge preserved their Blue Square Bet South status with a 1-1 home draw against Eastbourne Borough on Tuesday night.

The 624 crowd at Longmead were silenced when Jamie Smith gave Borough the lead with a 25-yard strike six minutes into the second half.

The visitors had Ollie Rowe sent off following an off-the-ball incident involving Olly Schulz.

Angels - needing a point to stay up - made the man advantage count by scoring the equaliser on 74 minutes.

Nathan Green's long throw was flicked on with David Ijaha's mis-hit shot finding its way in.

Angels, who are four points clear of the bottom three in 19th place, finish the season with a home game against Truro on Saturday.
