Royal British Legion charity worker robbed in Brishing Lane, Maidstone

A robber squirted washing up liquid in a charity worker's face before running off with takings from the Royal British Legion.

The attack happened on July 21 in Brishing Lane, Maidstone, between at about 11.30am. The 50-year-old victim chased his assailant down Francis Lane but lost him in Senacre.

The shop worker was transporting takings from the Royal British Legion shop in Bicknor Road.

The attacker was a white man aged between 20 and 30 years old. He was 6ft tall and wore a grey tracksuit with the hood up and face obscured by a scarf.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to make contact. Witnesses are asked to contact Detective Constable Jonathan Pearce on 01622 604270, quoting crime reference YY/14652/14.
