Sam Corne has signed a new deal at Maidstone United.

The midfielder follows team-mates Joan Luque and Regan Booty in committing his future to the Stones until the end of next season.

Manager Hakan Hayrettin revealed earlier this week he was in talks with Corne, who joined the club in the summer of 2019 from Ashford.

Days later, the deal has been done.

"I've known Sam for a years now and know what he brings to the team," said Hayrettin.

"He's been excellent for us this season and an important part of what we're wanting to achieve here.

"To get that commitment from him at this stage of the season is pleasing for me and it was something that he was really keen to make happen too."

Maidstone visit St Albans tomorrow, with Hayrettin cool on promotion talk despite their fine form.
