The countdown is on to the start of the Women’s Euros in England.

And to mark next month’s festival of football, the KM Group is delighted to bring you a special supplement in partnership with the Kent FA.

We’re celebrating girls’ football in a series of interviews with leading figures in Kent, while featuring more than 100 team pictures across the county.

We hear from striker Alessia Russo on her journey from playing grassroots football with the boys in Maidstone to starring for Manchester United and taking her place in the England squad for the Euros.

Referee Kirsty Dowle, who took charge of last month’s Women’s FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester City at Wembley, talks us through her path into officiating.

There’s a fascinating Q&A with England Deaf winger Emma Brown, who’s won three bronze medals representing her country at major championships.

And what are the challenges facing Becky Moore, the Kent FA’s new football development officer for women and girls?

She tells us of her plans to keep raising the profile of the game and providing opportunities for all.

As England prepare to launch their campaign in front of a capacity 75,000 crowd against Austria at Old Trafford on July 6, there’s no better time to celebrate everything that’s great about the game.

Who knows, we may even see Russo and her Three Lions team-mates lifting the trophy at Wembley on July 31.

Either way, you can follow the progress of all the teams at the Euros with our brilliant wallchart as part of the supplement.

Make sure you pick up your copy of the Girl Power supplement in your local KM Group newspaper from Wednesday, June 29!
