Keeper Walker joins Stones

Goalkeeper Andy Walker has become Maidstone United's sixth summer signing.

Walker, who played professionally at Colchester, Exeter and Doncaster, has spent the past four years at Blue Square South side Bromley where he made over 200 appearances.

Stones joint-boss Alan Walker said: “As soon as Lloyd (Hume)and I knew he was available we went all out to get him.”

The Stones also announced that Steve Northwood will stay with club while fellow keeper Pat Mullin has been released.

Mullin made 137 appearances at Maidstone and was in the Kent League and Ryman League South Championship winning sides.
