Maidstone have signed former Ipswich Town defender Ross Marshall.

The 20-year-old came through the Tractor Boys’ academy and previously played under Stones head coach Hakan Hayrettin during a loan spell at Braintree last season.

Marshall, who also operates in midfield, joined Ipswich from Broxbourne Borough in 2014 and was at Portman Road until his release last summer.

He could make his debut when Maidstone go to Bath in National League South on Saturday.

"Can't wait to get started," tweeted Marshall. "Roll on tomorrow and let's get the three points."

Marshall is the first new arrival since United placed five players on the transfer list.
