ONE of the hottest properties in the Kent League appears to have signed forms - for two clubs.

On Tuesday, Maidstone United boss Lloyd Hume said the Stones had captured centre-half Mario Celaire, saying he was "as big a signing for us as Mo Takaloo," who United signed from Ramsgate a fortnight ago.

But by Wednesday, the deal was in doubt with the Beckenham Town website declaring "Celaire stays."

The article said: "We are delighted to announce that after negotiations tonight Mario has put pen to paper and committed himself to staying with the club."

Hume said this morning: "All I know is that he signed for us last night, irrespective of what they say.

"I’ve been told the contract is in the post to the FA and from what I’ve seen of Mario he doesn’t seem like a complete lunatic to me, so I don’t think he’d have signed two different deals."

Early this afternoon Stones secretary Darren Lovell confirmed the deal was going through, while conducting an interview with Celaire for the club’s official website.

But Beckenham then confirmed that Celaire had also signed player registration forms with them.

It looks as if the FA may now have to intervene.
