Chris Smalling played for England under-18s alongside Stones team-mate Butch Ulph

MAIDSTONE United youngsters Butch Ulph and Chris Smalling made their international debuts in England schoolboys' 2-0 victory over Australia.

Both players started the game at Shrewsbury's New Meadow stadium on Sunday with Ulph playing right-back and Smalling at centre-back.

Smalling, who was one of only two England players to stay on for the full 90 minutes, helped set up the first goal.

The players will now be looking towards a three-day warm-weather training camp in Spain during the February school holidays.

The next international is away to Northern Ireland on Monday, March 10.
