Maidstone boss Jay Saunders has completed the signing of former Ebbsfleet defender Anthony Acheampong.

The Stones boss moved for the 26-year-old following his release from Ebbsfleet earlier this week.

The defender made more than 80 appearances for the Stonebridge Road side during his 18-month spell with the club.

He has experience of the top flight of non-league football with Barnet, a club he joined from Welling United.

Acheampong has become Maidstone's second defensive signing this summer following the arrival of Kevin Lokko.

Saunders was looking to bolster his backline options after releasing Manny Parry earlier this month.
