Maidstone v Tooting & Mitcham

Maidstone United face Tooting & Mitcham in the Ryman League Premier Division at Bourne Park on Saturday.

Tooting, promoted last season, via the Division 1 South play-offs, arrive in fourth place, two points and three places above the Stones, who have two games in hand on the south London club.

Stones joint manager Lloyd Hume said: "They are physical, direct, and have ability who we know well."

Elliot Bradstock is still recovering from a slight thigh strain, while Kevin Watson was expected to train this week, after an ankle ligament problem. He could be included in the squad for Saturday, but Hume admits the midfielder is still short of match fitness.

Meanwhile, Hume has reacted positively after the Football Association imposed a 10-game touchline ban, six of them suspended until the end of the season, and fined him £100.

The punishment comes after Hume admitted two charges, one of improper conduct at Ramsgate on September 2, and another of failing to comply with an FA decision, relating to a 21-day all-football ban imposed at the start of the season.

Hume said: "The FA have been very lenient, and I am delighted with the outcome.

"I thought they were very good and understood and appreciated my case. I think many people were expecting me to get a huge ban, but I hoped common sense would prevail which it did."

The ban starts this weekend.
