A driver has been caught speeding along a motorway stretch at more than 90mph - while a one-year-old child sat in the back.

Police stopped the car on the M20 at Wrotham, near Sevenoaks this afternoon, after the vehicle's average speed was clocked at 94mph.

Officers at the scene say a toddler was in the motor without "a child seat or any suitable restraint".

They said: "We just detected a vehicle doing this average speed down the M20 from Wrotham.

"Once stopped, [we saw they] had a one-year-old child in the rear not in a child seat or any suitable restraint.
