Police are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run involving a disabled man in Ditton to come forward.

The accident happened on the London Road on Thursday, September 11, at about 1.20am, and involved a white Mazda and a red car which may have been a Rover or a Peugeot.

After the collision, the driver of the red car got out to take photographs of what happened.

But when the wheelchair-bound driver of the Mazda said he was disabled and needed an ambulance, the driver got back in his car and drove off.

The disabled man had suffered a minor neck injury and was taken to the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury as a precaution.
