A ten-year-old boy has shed his long blond locks - and raised more than £3,600 for charity.

Finnley Bradley from Allington decided to grow his hair when he was just seven after seeing a video about children who lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

He waited patiently for three years, enduring taunts about looking like a girl from his classmates at Allington Primary School, until it fell well below his shoulders and was long enough to cut off and send to the Little Princess Trust - a charity that uses hair donations to make wigs for children who have lost theirs. He is also donating the money to the charity.

After a quick visit to the Bush Barbers in West Malling High Street on Saturday, Finnley emerged a new person.

His mother Lexi Connoll said: "He's delighted with his achievement but also very pleased with his new look."
