Brandy Cox is desperate to recover her lost engagement ring. The ring came off somewhere in Offham Street in West Malling on Saturday, but despite a frantic search by friends and neighbours, it has not been found.

The precious love-token was given to her by her fiance, John, who is away serving in the Royal Engineers.

Miss Cox said: “I am at a loss to know what to do. It’s devastating."

“If anyone has found it and picked it up could they please get in touch with me?”

The ring is a vintage diamond and sapphire, but its sentimental value is much greater than its monetary worth.

She said: “It means so much to me.

“My fiance is based away from me and our baby daughter, and seeing my ring everyday and what it represents, helps me cope.”
