Investigators are still unsure what happened to a woman who was found dead at home after not being seen for eight days.

Neighbours on Hazen Road, Kings Hill, noticed a smell coming from Denise Boyson's house and began to grow concerned for her welfare on June 23, an inquest opening at the Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone was told.

They used a ladder to try and look through a first-floor window at the property, saw the 47-year-old's legs on the floor and called the emergency services, who pronounced her dead shortly after.
