A classic car was found alight in a ditch on the M26 between Wrotham and Sevenoaks last night.

A classic car was damaged by fire in an incident on the motorway near Wrotham late last night.

Fire crews were called to the black Ford Zephyr alight in the ditch at just before midnight on the London bound carriageway of the M26 between Wrotham and Sevenoaks.

The vehicle is thought to have been stolen and the blaze is being treated as suspicious. Firefighters from Larkfield put the blaze out in less than half an hour.
