A man has died after being found in a street with serious injuries.

Police were called to Sandy Lane, Addington, near Wrotham Heath, just before 9am after reports that a man had suffered severe injuries.

Officers, a road ambulance and the Kent and Surrey Air Ambulance attended the site near the junction with Ford Lane, but a man in his 40s died at the scene.

Police say the death was not suspicious

The road was closed to traffic for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious and that officers would prepare a report for the coroner.

Police confirmed the man’s injuries were not as a result of a traffic accident, but no further details were released.
