Police have arrested two people after bank cards taken in a burglary were used.

Officers were called to Swan Street in West Malling to reports that a purse and its contents were stolen on Monday, September 18.

A bank card from the purse was then reportedly used later that day and the following day at three shops in Maidstone.

A 43-year-old homeless man and a 30-year-old from Maidstone were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of burglary.

They were later released pending further investigation.
