Four people were found with cannabis and a 15-year-old was discovered with a crate of alcohol when police cracked down on anti-social behaviour in Tonbridge.

PCSOs and officers visited the town between 4pm and midnight on Friday, October 7 as an anti-social behaviour dispersal order was put in place around Tonbridge High Street for 48 hours.

A total of nine people were removed from the area.

Two people were arrested for possession of cannabis - one received a formal warning while another was given a conditional caution.

Two other people were issued with on the spot cannabis warnings.

Officers also seized a crate of alcohol from a 15-year-old boy and cigarettes from underage smokers.

Officers also visited Tonbridge Railway Station, as part of a joint initiative with rail enforcement officers, to target people who hadn't bought tickets.

During the evening 50 enforcement notices were issued for unpaid tickets.

Sergeant Ashley Boxall from the community policing team in Tonbridge said: "This operation was very successful and involved colleagues from across the force such as dog handlers and officers from Tunbridge Wells.

"We were able to identify a number of people known to the force and ensure they were removed from Tonbridge High Street as well as assist rail enforcement officers in identifying commuters who had not paid for their travel, while at the same time providing a visible presence in the town."
