Patrons will be able to reach a higher level of fitness when a new gym opens next month.

The Brigade gym, run by Tom Jarrett, a former Marine Commando, will open in Liberty Square at Kings Hill in August.

Mr Jarrett, who went to Maidstone Grammar School, said: “I know Kings Hill well and opening here was an easy decision.

“It is a location with a great commnity spirit.

“We spent a lot of time looking for the right space for our second gym and we are confident this is going to be the place to train in Kings Hill.”

The company’s first gym opened in Marden in 2019.

Mr Jarrett said: “We have been working on bringing Brigade to Kings Hill for over a year and we now have the keys to our new facility and are in build-mode.”

The business is likely to create five new jobs.

Alongside the exercise equipment, the gym will offer a treatment room with an osteopath, physiotherapist or sports therapist available as an additional resource for members.

It will also offer coaching in fitness-related areas such as nutrition.

Mr Jarrett said: “We’ve already had a lot of interest and cannot wait to meet our new members.”
