Man airlifted to King's College Hospital after industrial accident in Aylesford

A man has been airlifted to a London hospital after being seriously injured in an industrial accident this afternoon.

The victim is believed to have been run over at Transcover in St Michael's Close, Aylesford, and sustained chest, leg and arm injuries.

Police, two ambulances and the air ambulance were called to the scene at around 1.30pm and the man has now been taken to King's College Hospital.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers provided assistance to ambulance crews. One man has been taken to a London hospital as a result.

"The matter has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive."

A spokesman for HSE said: “We are aware of this incident and we are investigating.”

Transcover has been approached for comment.
