Police have arrested a man after a car was stolen from a house.

Officers were called at 11.59pm yesterday to a report of a car being taken from a property in Sunrise Way, Kings Hill.

They located the vehicle just nine minutes later and it was chased onto the M26.

A rolling road was put into place and the vehicle was safely brought to a stop at around 12.21am.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving. He remains in police custody at this time.
