Man 'attacked and robbed' at his home in London Road, Wrotham

A man accused of robbery was chased down the street by members of the public after allegedly attacking a man in his home.

It is claimed David Gray entered a house in London Road, Wrotham, and assaulted the occupant, aged in his 50s, and demanded money.

The 38-year-old is said to have fled with a quantity of cash and was reportedly pursued by members of the public.

The crime allegedly happened at around 2pm on October 31.

Gray, of Porter Ave, Kingshill, has appeared in court after being later arrested and charged with robbery.

He was bailed by Medway Magistrates' Court to next appear at a hearing before Maidstone Crown Court on December 6.

Detectives are still appealing for witnesses or anybody with dash cam footage from the area between 2pm and 2.30pm on October 31 to get in contact if they have not yet spoken to a police officer.
