Man from Orpington charged in connection with theft of Borough Green motorhome

A man has been charged in connection with a stolen motorhome.

Police were trying to trackdown a white Peugeot Elddis Autoquest after it was taken during a break-in at a property on Maidstone Road, Borough Green at around 8pm on Monday.

It was recovered in Orpington after it left on the street and seen by a member of the public.

Liam Cook, of Shoreham Road, Orpington, was arrested in connection with the incident on Tuesday and later charged with burglary and theft.

The 27-year-old was remanded in custody and was due to appear by video link before Medway Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday).

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses or information that may help the investigation.
