Arturas Sadovskis, of Newham, east London, charged with theft from Audi, Chatham Road, Maidstone

A man has been charged with the theft of a large number of car parts from a secure compound in Maidstone last month.

Arturas Sadovskis is accused of taking fog lights casings from 49 cars at the town's Audi supplier in the early hours of Easter Monday.

The 24-year-old, from Newham, East London, allegedly took the parts from the Chatham Road dealership at Junction 6 of the M20 between 2am and 4am.

He was arrested on Wednesday and has been bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court on Monday, June 8.

Kent Police attended the site at the time following reports of a man acting suspiciously but could not locate any offender.
