The infamous man who was caught on camera giving a bailiff 'a taste of her own medicine' has spoken out.

Andrew Scott clamped the enforcement officer last week after she mounted the pavement, cutting across part of the disabled man's drive in Bondfield Road, East Malling.

Mr Scott, 54, said: "They come out and lay the law down to people on benefits who are struggling. But we laid down the law for her.

"She got really aggressive, shouting and telling me to remove the clamp and threatened to smash my van."

Next-door neighbour, Kirsty Newton, said: "She seemed amazed it was someone else who clamped her car. She tried to clamp another woman because she thought it was her.

"Everyone was telling her to calm down - some of the boys even offered her some food and drink.

"We all had to shake Andrew's hand afterwards."

Mr Scott, who lives with his six-year-old son Danny and partner who did not wish to be named, added: "I did not expect the video to go viral, I was really surprised. It is good because she cannot act like that with members of the public, she is a professional person."

The bailiff was working in the area when she got clamped and neighbours estimated she was there for four and a half hours in total.

Video footage sees the pair get increasingly irate as Mr Scott refuses to remove the clamp from her front wheel.

Kieren Dawson, who filmed the scene, can be heard saying: "You should not be parked there love."

Clearly frustrated, the enforcement officer paces around while talking on the phone.

Mr Dawson adds: "You have parked right in front of his drive, he is right to do that.

The bailiff and man square up to each other

"You have blocked him in and he is disabled."

The camera then pans round to show the Nissan parked across part of the drive, where a white vans sits - disabled stickers clearly in the window.

Attempting to ignore the remarks, the woman continues to speak on the phone.

She can be heard claiming another woman gave permission for her to park in the spot on Monday, March 18.

The bailiff has her car clamped by Mr Scott

Seemingly baffled by the situation, she goes on to say: "I am an enforcement agent and he has put a clamp on my car."

Holding out his blue disabled badge, the camera zooms in on property owner Andrew as he says: "Yeah, bit of your own medicine then isn't it."

Police were called by the bailiff and Mr Scott took the clamp off and the woman was told to leave.
